Are you able to tell me what your dream life looks like?
Someone once asked me that question. Immediately in my conscious mind, I said “Of course! I know what that looks like.” But when I actually tried to conceptualize what that looked like and put it into words, I got stuck and was at a loss for words.
I’m here to tell you that the easiest way to figure out what your dream life looks like is to put pen to paper and write it down.
The Power of The Written Word
We often overlook the power of writing down what we want. Writing down your dreams helps to contextualize them by taking those emotions, thoughts, wishes, and ambitions, and making them concrete.
The process of writing forces what may be lurking in the unconscious mind, and brings it to the surface, so that you can unlock amazing and beautiful gifts.
What we truly want often gets buried under all the busyness clogging our conscious minds. We have so much influence around us coming from social media, the news, and random conversations, that it can be difficult to pick apart and decipher what’s actually ours to grab onto.
This is why we need practical tools to help us navigate all the commotion of living in this world so that we can do so with clarity and a sense of purpose.
G.R.A.B. Your Thoughts
Humans have thousands and thousands of thoughts per day. Oftentimes these thoughts are about the past. Over analyzing things that happened and over-thinking about what you should have done. But this doesn’t help us move forward.
Instead, we can look to the future and focus on our desire to make it better. Our desire to achieve our goals and live the life of our dreams. Thinking about the future allows us to move into a space of possibility.
That’s easier said than done, and we can all use some extra help sometimes.
I created G.R.A.B. Your Thoughts: A Guided Journal to Capture Moments so that you can capture moments from the past, present, and future so that you can track how much progress you’ve made over time.
To make it easy on you, this journal is filled with guided questions. This allows you to open the book, turn to a page, and simply journal through the question. When you do this, you’ll find that you can uncover and discover all these buried emotions, thoughts, ambitions, and aspirations.
This journal will help you to take control of your thoughts, separate yourself from who you were and what you think you should be, and help you make room for who you are becoming.
Creating Your Dream Life
All of this was already inside of you, but often we get clouded by societal expectations, and our vision gets a little murky.
These ideas of what we think we should be doing in life, or feeling like we’re behind, or not worthy, distract us from what we truly want.
The system that’s laid out in this journal is the same one that helped me reach my goals and purchase my first home when I was twenty years old, along with three investment properties in my early twenties. I was able to take my Dad on his dream vacation to Switzerland, make the hall of fame in my company for sales, marry the woman of my dreams, and create a non-profit and serve the community.
This system has allowed me to become the son and the brother that I’ve always wanted to be, and I want the same for all of you.
You can grab your own copy of this journal via Amazon through the link on my website.
In the meantime, you can start by creating your own journal practice. If you don’t have a journal yet, use the notes app on your phone. As you go through your day, write down what’s inspiring you, what motivates you, what gives you energy. This is especially helpful at the beginning or end of the day.
While writing down what inspires you helps you to set your goals in motion, journaling about anything that is stressing you out helps to clear those thoughts from your mind, so that they’re not clouding your vision.
If you’re not used to journaling, it may seem silly or pointless, but just watch how much your life can transform by using this intentional practice.
Now think about it again, what does your dream life look like?
Do you have a clearer idea of what that is, and how to create it for yourself?
It’s time to rinse away stress and grab the thoughts that will help you achieve more so that you can create the life you’ve always dreamed of.
